Classification of Tea Sets Based on Production Materials
People in the olden times highly valued the tools of making tea.Tea sets of the different periods had their own distinctive styles. Pottery was an important Neolithic invention.Made from clay burned in kilns at 700-800℃,it is hard in texture,with or without a glazed surface. The common tea sets include the purple- clay pottery (also called boccaro) and hard pottery.

Porcelain is one of the greatest inventions of ancient China. In the late East Han Dynasty, the Chinese mastered the porcelain burning technique and ancient China was named the "Porcelain Country."The porcelain is fired in kilns at temperatures above 1200°C.
